Because there has to be one.
Nov. 3 is the anniversary of John Montagu’s birthday. It’s believed that this 18th-century English noble, better known as the fourth Earl of Sandwich, wanted to eat with one hand during a 24-hour gambling bender. So, he instructed his servants to serve him his lunch meat between two pieces of bread. To celebrate the occasion, Nov. 3 is officially “National Sandwich Day.”

Regular readers know what this means: SANDWICH PARTY! Elsa and I are announcing today that another Sandwich Party is scheduled for November 27-29.
More later. As usual, Elsa does it better.
Dudes: Don’t post sandwich party stuff over at Facebook. Email me here at jagosaurus[at]mac.com if you have trouble commenting. Thanks.

I was just wondering about this the other day.
My thinking cap is on…
Woohoo!
Given the date, I wonder how many American participants will be “going cold turkey”.
Simon: I knew we could count on you.
Erik: Elsa and I discussed that very issue when picking the date. We will not be surprised by an abundance of turkey sandwiches.
Yee haw! My sandwich may have to involve something like tofurkey.
Think of it as something to be thankful for.
THIS IS HAPPENING.
And it happens on my birthday weekend….
Hey, what’s this timer thing here….I smell comment commitment….
Good timing! I might just be able to use some of the baby lettuce from my new garden! (yay for spring)
