Somehow these birds make me think of the strangely stylized women we see in fashion magazines, all exaggeration and posture (the eagle), and then what most of us are actually like (the dove). I don’t know if that will make sense to anyone but me. Also, I like how the dove somehow exudes this sense of being totally cool with itself.
I smile; because I am reminded of the Lincoln memorial with this. I think there have been few photographs taken of old Abe, without a bird of sorts landing on his head for the photo, at that memorial.
