Okay people. No pushing or crowding. Form a single file line…
We already have one entry from Europe.
You can link to your Sandwich Party posts in the comments of this post or this one or this one. You can add your photos here if you like. We’ll collect them all and put them here eventually.

So. Who’s hungry? Besides me, I mean.
Update: My contribution seems more like an art project than a sandwich. Tasty though:

Ingredients: nectarine, cherries, green gage plum, cantaloupe, cilantro and salt and pepper cheddar cheese from Fields of Grace Farm.

So. Who’s hungry?
Well, after reading Simon’s post, I am! I’m toddling off to make a Black Velvet Elvis now.
What? Well, you’ll just have to check it out. Give me a while to absorb my coffee.

my sandwich is very simple (and Southern) :
slice of pineapple
lettuce
mayonnaise
2 slices of bread.
I remember eating this as a child and my brother who lives in Alabama said that he has seen some of his employees bring this sandwich to work for lunch

Ingredients purchased. Commencing pre-sandwich meditation ritual in 3… 2… 1…
Ommmmmmmmmmmm

Erik: I think you mean Nommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
andrea on 07.25.2008
Woo! I’m so exxcited!
tracy on 07.25.2008
Okay. Great….I’m thinking it through, and before midnight tonight I will have one or two sandwiches to share. This is so fun!

The Black Velvet Elvis (a.k.a, The Velvet Costello) is up at macbebekin. Mmm, Costellolicious.
Leslie on 07.25.2008
I’m thinking about something with peanut butter…but probably not with banana!
Leslie on 07.25.2008
Totally off topic but I think you and yours would find this site very satisfying: http://www.netdisaster.com/

One bread-sized cube of cold baked lasagna
2 slices of bread
More mayonnaise than is wise or necessary
(If you are watching carbs, skip the bread. Like revenge, lasagna is a dish best served cold)

I cheated, but I posted. And it was good. Besides, you said you wouldn’t care :)
Tina on 07.26.2008
The colors in your photo are making me weak in the knees.
Elsa on 07.26.2008
Oh, oh, oh, fruit sandwich. With cheese!
If you could hear the fervor in my voice, you’d understand. Oh, oh, oh, fruit sandwich with cheese!
jagosaurus on 07.26.2008
Tina: Obviously, I chose the plate with great care to match the sandwich. How goofy is that?
Elsa: A pocket-sized fruit sandwich with cheese. Damn near cute, it is. Tasty too.

Oh Shit!! I just knew I had forgotten something! Will mine still count a day late? Here goes trying:
Some of my favorites:
1) Simple Cucumber sandwich–2 slices soft white bread of choice; mayo; and slices of “pickling” cucumbers (there is a difference indeed) with salt and pepper to taste….must come from my English heritage.
2)Veggie Delight–Fresh bakery bread of choice; mayo; fresh tomato; cucumbers; spinach leafs; choice of pepper slices (green, red, yellow, orange:) ; avocado slices; salt and pepper to taste.
3)Cream Cheese Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich–2 slices soft white bread; spread peanut butter of choice, then softened cream cheese; add jelly or preserves of choice. Yuuum.
3) Grilled Cheese using shredded cheeses–made the same; just with shredded cheeses of choice between slices of bread and grilled with “real” butter.
And, of course, I love my fresh garden tomato sandwiches with bread of choice; mayo, salt and pepper to taste.
All very simple….I experiment for new sandwiches all the time though. Thanks Jag!!

Tracy: The party’s going on all weekend. Also, I have to try the cream cheese, peanut butter, and Jelly sandwich.
tracy on 07.26.2008
Oh good; then I’m only half a dork for thinking I’m late :)
That particular sandwich is more like a dessert thing…I love it from years ago. Enjoy…

I posted a sammich. It goes like this: crusty bread, blue cheese, arugula, roasted beets, walnuts. Believe it or not, I had all this stuff on hand.
Elli on 07.26.2008
That’s one artful sandwich and dish! I remember admiring your plate at the last party as well. My tuna sandwich is posted at flickr. Once again I took the lazy way but happy to have one less can of the stuff leftover from travelling.
Tina on 07.27.2008
My sandwich is up now at Flickr.
Leslie on 07.27.2008
You all done made me hungry. And it was so busy this weekend here that I didn’t get a sandwich at all!
jagosaurus on 07.27.2008
Tina: Your sandwich has been added to the Official Sandwich Scrolls.
andrea on 07.27.2008
Woohoo! I gots me a sammich, too.
marigoldie on 07.27.2008
Filing for extension please.
jagosaurus on 07.28.2008
andrea: Lordy, that sandwich sounds good.
marigoldie: Extension granted.
bella on 07.28.2008
This was so much fun! Your fruit sandwich sounds delicious. it’s making me hungry. Too bad it’s the middle of winter, freezingly bitterly cold, and absolutely none of that fruit is in season or readily available. Maybe I’ll settle for something warmer…
marigoldie on 07.28.2008
Um, I don’t remember leaving that comment last night. That’s bad.
gwen on 07.28.2008
Your sandwich is lovely, plate and all.
Mine’s up! I’m late, I know, but I was ill over the weekend in a way that made me really not want to think about food, let alone photograph it.
jagosaurus on 07.29.2008
Gwen: Yours has been added. Thanks for contributing it.
Thanks to everyone, in fact.
Tina on 08.08.2008
Gratuitously, I have posted another sammich photo at my Flickr site.
