You must have a level of optimism that is so strong it extends to multiple previous generations.
I, on the other hand, have Slavic optimisim, which connotes “Today, I’m alive. Lucky me. I’ve heard about Tomorrow and I’m in favor of it.” A corollary of that, as it applies to the past, is, “I believe my grandparents were bi-peds and I’ll leave well enough alone”
DarkoV: Heh. I can sort of relate to that. And you know, I don’t know that I thought of this in terms of optimism or pessimism. I just think it is fascinating and will even go so far as to share my results here for anyone who is interested.
